We are so excited to bring you our lovely OKANAGAN MAKERS SPRING MARKET. Ever seen a lemon tree in bloom?  This just might be your chance to see at least one.. and maybe order up one for your backyard.

Over 135 vendors will be on hand with some wonderful new products, and launching their new creations and spring lines. Handcrafted jewellery & clothing for big and little people, natural body care products, food products, kombucha and lots more!  There’ll also be bird houses, bedding plants, organic seeds and some fabulous yard art. Live Painting with Jenny Long:
Charming, lovely and talented Jenny Long will be live painting in honour of Earth Day! Find her in the North Lobby.

Face Painting by Cammie:
The first 25 kids on Earth day will be treated to a great free face painting with the sweet artistry of Camille Clarke, and she will face paint grown ups, too!

UPCYCLED CRAFTS:
Join the Incredible Alice Strohmaier and Harmony Paper Collective and her talented assistants throughout the weekend and try your hand at a variety of upcycled craft projects. Find them in the South Atrium. Here’s the workshop schedule:

Painted Coffee Cans – turn an ordinary coffee can into a work of art.

T-shirt Tote Bag – create a no-sew shopping tote from an old T-shirt.

Teacup Gardens – herbs and succulents (while supplies last). Add shells and bits to make a garden scene.

Newspaper Gift Bags – Create a gift bag from newspapers. Lots of embellishments available to decorate your bag.

Hemp and recycled paper – handmade papermaking demonstration. Three papermakers demonstrate how to create paper from recycled materials and ground industrial hemp.

We talk lots about solar energy…so it’s now time to start USING solar power!  Here is a wonderful in depth workshop including plans to build 30 different solar projects, including solar photovoltaics, distillation, showers, low cost water heaters, food dryers, ovens, greenhouses, plus a look into the future of solar energy.

We will have Terratek Energy on hand to help get folks the components they need!

Christmas Across the Spectrum: Based in Kelowna, this successful theatrical presentation will be coming to Penticton and the Cleland Theatre this December.  These folks aim to raise awareness of living with autism through theatre. Ambercott Acres, Cherry Tree Permaculture, Hillside Irises, & Garnet Valley Growers will be bringing their wonderful bedding plants/seeds/microgreens and great food products to join in the fun.
